Regatta Came to a Successful End

Hainan Island International Regatta (hereinafter referred to as the Regatta) is a large high-end international brand competition sponsored by the State Sports General Administration and Hainan Provincial People's Government. In 2010, the international sailing came into being once a year and has been successfully held for seven times. Within seven years, the international sailing achieved a "semi-loop" to "entire-loop" leap and became the highest competitive international sailing event with longest domestic flight.



The 8th International Sailing Race of 2017 takes 8 days, a total of 8 groups, there are 60 fleets, nearly 500 sailors participating. In all aspects of the official event, the media coverage, and fleet participation, this event is unprecedented and the hottest regatta in history!

The evening of March 25, the closing ceremony of Astonishing World·Serenity Coast Cup - the 8th Hainan Island International Regatta of 2017 was held in the beautiful Sanya Mid Peninsula Yacht Harbor!

Women team of WAMTA Rainy won the "Most Challenging Spirit Award" in 2017 International Sailing Race!

Mr. Chen Xiaohua, vice minister of Planning and Propaganda and Market Development Department of the Grand Prize presented award of "Most Challenging Spirit Award" to the winning women team of WAMTA Rainy.

Chen Tao, President of Luoyang WAMTA, gave a high remark of performance of the women team of WAMTA. "The sports are for both men and women, and the spirit of brave challenge of our females shown in this competition are not afraid of difficulties. Many men are convinced that they have played a very good role in stimulating, promoting and publicizing sports in China. "



Women team of WAMTA Rainy, as the first fleet totally consisted of women in the history of regatta, has received wide discussion by all circles in the society from the beginning of the race. Especially in the international nautical competitions of sailing race, the length of the route and the difficulty of the race are too far for the common sailing amateurs. WAMTA built a full lineup of women's competition, and the event held in all aspects of this state of observing. Because no one believe that all women's team can attend the sailing event which even a professional male racers are difficult to conquer. What kind of spirit can drive them to face the stormy sea?



On March 18, the regatta track race started. Women team of WAMTA Rainy demonstrated steady and sincere cooperation, greatly appreciated by other tournaments of their peers. The Tournament Executive Committee also encouraged this women's team for their high standard of performance. The entire event media was also shocked by the performance of the women's team, so their next challenge of the All-Rally race attracted much attention!



Starting from Sanya on March 19 and arriving in Haikou on March 21, the women team of WAMTA Rainy successfully challenged the semi-loop schedule! Starting from Haikou on March 23 and arriving in Sanya on March 25, the entire-loop schedule lasted more than 90 hours. The women team of WAMTA Rainy won the much anticipated spectacle and became the first women's team who completed long-line voyage in China. This magnificent feat is unprecedented in the regatta history!



They faced the sea, regardless of the weather, in calm zone, in fishing nets array, in the sea fog and other numerous obstacles with virtue of excellent professional ability and indomitable fighting spirit, again and again, even if hands were worn, covered with cut scars, even if body collapsed, physically down, they also had to move forward and insisted to achieve the goal. They chased the dream without hesitation!



Participating in the regatta is a challenge, and the spirit of WAMTA Rainy women team is an immortal state in this challenge. The ordinary them were given a definition of extraordinary by this spirit, and they deserved the "Most Challenging Spirit Award". Congratulations!

8th regatta in 2017 come to an end, but WAMTA’s sea complex is getting stronger. No matter when and where, no matter what kind of form, no matter what kind of spirit, WAMTA with the spirit of cohesion of the enterprise core commitment to the passion of sailing race will never change! In 2016, WAMTA Rainy created history at its first participation in regatta who had won six championships and the Grand Slam, becoming the glorious figure in the history of the regatta; in 2017, based on the spirit of enterprise, WAMTA built the all-women team according to the company's unique structure. Once again, they established new history of the regatta and became the first women's team in China to complete the long-line sailing race!
